Demolition & Construction Works
The works consisted of the demolition of an existing redundant single storage building and the construction of a new three-storey school building. The general construction methods for this project were concrete retaining walls, masonry blockwork, precast concrete floors, prefabricated trussed roof, and composite metal deck roof finishes. It consisted of a ground floor void area, first and second floor occupying two classrooms complete with toilets, circulation areas, all associated ancillary accommodation and site works. The electrical work involved re-routing floor boxes to accommodate the new furniture layout, installing hanging lights, and adding power outlets. Plumbing was also reworked, including the rerouting of hot, cold, and wastewater lines to serve the newly designed kitchen, and the decommissioning of the old sink.
