Tower Hill School Portlaoise
With an ever expanding school with over 800 pupils, St. Mary’s CBS extension consisted of two brand new science labs and prep room. Extensie internal refurbishments took place within a live school environment. Some of these included a new staff room, lobby, male toilets and a new corridor along with all associated drainage and site developments works. Working with Kenneth Hennessy Architects it was fully completed in June 2021. The electrical work involved re-routing floor boxes to accommodate the new furniture layout, installing hanging lights, and adding power outlets. Plumbing was also reworked, including the rerouting of hot, cold, and wastewater lines to serve the newly designed kitchen, and the decommissioning of the old sink.
All work was carried out to high specifications. Parts of the school are recognised as a protected structure and was completed to a tight schedule.
